Before using a material estimate

Brick count: this simple estimate uses the visible face area of one brick and does not include mortar joints, wall thickness, openings or breakage. For a real order, use the brick size and wall bond specified by your contractor.

Plaster: the volume estimate is based on wall area multiplied by thickness. It does not automatically convert wet volume to a supplier-specific dry mix requirement; confirm mix ratio and coverage with the product or site specification.

Steel: the common estimate uses diameter² ÷ 162 × length in metres. It estimates bar weight, not structural adequacy or the reinforcement schedule.

Cement and sand: the calculator divides the entered volume by the parts you provide. It does not choose a suitable mix design or account for bulking, moisture, compaction or dry-volume conversion. Follow the approved mix and professional advice for structural work.

Measure openings and dimensions carefully, allow for site-specific wastage, and confirm quantities with the person responsible for the work.
