How to edit a PDF
- Choose a PDF file and wait for its pages to render.
- Select a page, then select the text item you want to change.
- Edit the text and use the available formatting controls. Review each edited page at normal zoom.
- Save the edited PDF and open the downloaded file to confirm the result.
What this editor can and cannot do
This editor overlays changes on the existing PDF. It is most suitable for short corrections in PDFs with selectable text. Replacing text may cover the original text with a white rectangle and may not preserve the original font, spacing, alignment or line wrapping exactly. It is not a full Word-style reflow editor.
Scanned PDFs are images rather than selectable text and generally require OCR before their text can be edited. Complex layouts, signatures, forms and embedded fonts may not reproduce perfectly. Keep the original file and inspect every edited page before sharing the result.
Troubleshooting
- If pages do not load, try a smaller PDF or a modern browser with JavaScript enabled.
- If the PDF is password-protected, remove the protection only when you are authorised to do so.
- If saving fails, check available device memory and try fewer pages or a smaller file.
- Do not rely on visual edits alone to change legally significant figures or signed documents; verify the final file carefully.
